SAHRSA Competition Resumption RESUMPTION OF COMPETITION
In line with the official governmental announcement that South Africa COVID-19 status has been change to Level 1 and amended promulgation as set out 1 October 2020, amendment No.1053, SAHRSA management announce that the official league competitions will resume subject to the adherence to rules as set out for the holding of a outdoor registered sport event.
Official event status League Ranking Top 50 - 2019 The South African Top 50 and OPEN Championships that were due to be held in May 2020, will now take place on 16_17 April 2021 and 223 19_20 March 2021.
This will be the conclusion of the 2019 Final Top Rankings and the invitations will be sent to the qualifying competitors based on the final 2019 Top rankings.
2020 League season Due to the 2020 League season being suspended due to the COVID19 regulations, the late resumption of competitions during 2020 does not allow for enough time to complete a viable 2020 log for the season.The Management has therefore decided that it will be best to cancel the 2020 season log. 2021 League season To promote the restarting of sport shooting league activities as soon as possible, all official provincial competitions completed in the 2020 and all 2021 official provincial competitions will count towards the 2021 log that will be used for invitations to the 2022 SA’s. We thank all the Provincial administrators, competitors and officials for their efforts and patients during these trying times. We further thank the South African government, provincial governments, sport governing bodies and the broader public for their contribution in fighting this pandemic and ensuring that South Africa mitigate the risk and saving as many lives as possible.
